Those on low carb diets may lose more weight than those on a low calorie diet. This could be caused by several things such as a decreased appetite due to the low carb diet. People also feel fuller for longer amounts of time because the protein and fat do not digest fast. Loss of water weight can also be a cause of weight loss due to the burning of glycogen by the body. Another reason for weight loss is caused by lower calorie intake by not eating carbohydrate foods.
